I expected Fever to be good, but this was better than I had even hoped for.Canadahttp://tearingdownvsbuildingup.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-74950646971832149312012-04-05T13:34:59.941-05:002012-04-05T13:34:59.941-05:00I really did love Wither. I love Lauren DeStefano's writing and I care about the characters; she didn't lose me as some authors do on the second installment. I'm a fickle reader and often don't read all the way through a trilogy, so the fact that I'm still looking forward to the third is probably higher praise than I realize. :)Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-31350116247806797222012-04-05T12:24:28.114-05:002012-04-05T12:24:28.114-05:00I didn't love Wither but enjoyed it enough to ...I didn't love Wither but enjoyed it enough to look forward to reading Fever. It now awaits me on my bookshelf! I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it as much as you did the first in the series!Melissas Eclectic Bookshelfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954443867000135343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-5532169060889771602012-04-03T13:25:08.405-05:002012-04-03T13:25:08.405-05:00You're welcome! I like the series and am anxious to see where Rhine ends up in the final book.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-56464636207576943742012-04-02T23:39:10.593-05:002012-04-02T23:39:10.593-05:00Thank you for the spoiler warning! I keep having good intentions, but need to track down a copy. :)Alycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919057159829023714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-89827693543958549142012-04-02T11:14:39.107-05:002012-04-02T11:14:39.107-05:00This one should have been more tepid, Zibilee. There was a point that I closed the book thinking, "This is getting so annoying, everyone being sick and unconscious so much of the time," and then I saw the title and thought *headdesk*. Obviously, it's about an actual fever, not some representation like the fever to find her way home. That helped me to understand the fever as a plot point. Anyway, I still enjoyed it, although it is pretty harrowing.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-58499599587088507672012-04-02T11:09:50.765-05:002012-04-02T11:09:50.765-05:00I'm not sure it's for you, either, Kathy. ...I'm not sure it's for you, either, Kathy. LOL It's been at least 10 days since I finished, so I probably should have mentioned that I would have given it a harsher review if I wrote immediately, as I closed the book, but it's one that I'm still glad I read.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-73853290573822752652012-04-02T09:22:13.949-05:002012-04-02T09:22:13.949-05:00I liked Wither a lot, and need to get to this one ...I liked Wither a lot, and need to get to this one soon. I have read some other reviews that were tepid, but I need to find out what I think for myself. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us on this one. Your post was very insightful. I also love that picture of those flowers.
