The author said the photo was at a Holocaust denial website and whoever wrote on that website pointed out that the children appeared healthy. The author said they'd already been liberated for several days when the Soviets asked them to put their striped uniforms back on and pretend to be liberated for photographs because they'd neglected to take photos when they arrived at Auschwitz. Underneath their striped uniforms, the children wore piles of sweaters and coats. They were so thin that they needed lots of layers to keep them warm.
