Weekly Geeks Quote of the Day

Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars... and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers - for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are. ~Osho

Note from Bookfool: The happy flower above lived in the Vicksburg National Military Park and bloomed on a lovely little hill. It was not the slightest bit fazed by the proliferation of tourists and joggers going past. The ant tickling its favorite petal has been obliterated by the wonder of modern technology.

And all I read is that the blind should be horribly sad.

  5. Debi,

Thank you for the compliment on the photo. And, I'm sure Osho would thank you if he only knew. ;)

    Carrie,

Uh-oh. You must be having a rough day. A few too many numbers to crunch? Busy highway? Cat bite you? Okay, yes, it is sad for the blind to miss all that, but their other senses are heightened. There you go. Thinking positive. :)

I love flowers. My PC is clogged with photos after photos and more photos of flowers and usually multiples of same. I love to take pics of flowers and they ALWAYS cheer me up.

  7. Me, too! Usually, my porch looks like some kind of a weird, floral jungle because I plant so many of them (and, yep, they pose a lot). They're very cheery. This year was a Bad Gardening Year, though, for me. Next year, back to the jungle look!!!

  10. Trish,

They are indeed. I love the way daffodils and tulips throw their leaves up to embrace the sky.

    CJ,

Isn't it? And thank you. I've been trying to get a single leaf to take root and today I think it's attempting suicide. That is so weird. Seriously, it's curled up and the roots are headed above water. So, so bizarre. Fortunately, I have plenty of happy flower photos to look back upon. I have no idea why you're the victim who had to hear this story. LOL
