September Photo Challenge, Part 2

A few more photos, just for grins, and then back to book chatter.   I loaded these all out of order -- still figuring out how to work with the updated Blogger platform -- and am just going to leave them as they loaded to save time.

#23. Before bedtime - Obviously a stretch.  I was unloading photo albums in our new "library" before bedtime and came across a photo I took of Douglas Adams at a reading in Ann Arbor (in 1989).

      It's adorable, isn't it? Isabel prefers to be petted all the way from her head to the tip of her tail. She walks back and forth, purring up a storm while I give her the full petting treatment till she's satisfied.

    Love the lizard looking out of the drainpipe! That is such an original and interesting picture! Great job with these!

      That was such a lucky moment, Heather! I don't remember why I was outside with the camera, but I saw the lizard's little head peeking out of the pipe and scooted across the deck to photograph him. While I was there, the hummingbird showed up. And, then I looked to the right and there was a carolina wren hopping around on the fence. So, all three of those photos were taken within about 10 minutes of each other. It was a good wildlife day!

    I love the dish you're using for the pistachios! Great colors. Rod & I share pistachios every so often. They're great after roasting for a few minutes in the oven.

    Annie-dog thinks she's a cat. She loves to have her ears scratched. Forever. ;)

      Thanks, Les! Huz brought that little dish back from Portugal. I tried to hang it in the kitchen and failed. Need a bigger hanging doohickey, I guess. Pistachios are the nom. But, yeah . . . not for regular eating, IMHO.

      LOL Annie sounds like a sweetie. I'm sure we'd get along great. :)
