There are times I can go for a long stretch reading what's piled up but then suddenly I rebel and can't force myself through anything I'm not dying to read. It's frustrating but really just a sign that reading specifically to blog is not necessarily the right way to read, although it works for some people.

Fallen Beauty is excellent. I tend to dislike anything with erotic undertones but after I got used to Millay's POV and her humanity started to show, I enjoyed the contrast between the two women - one responsible and sedate, the other wild and free to an extreme.

Yes, I can see you as a flapper, Becca. It's not that I dislike them, but that I am not in the right frame of mind from whatever is going on in my life or I am just so not in the mood to read a particular kind of book.

I want to give Fallen Beauty a try. I have read a little about Edna St. Vincent Millay and she sounds intriguing. I've always said that if I lived in the 20s I would probably be a jazz-club going, speakeasy loving, flapper who wore dresses with dangling beads and with a glass of liquor in my hand. Anything to be the rebellious one. :DBeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02706544792110129160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-20414818716023512572014-02-21T12:12:59.221-06:002014-02-21T12:12:59.221-06:00Yes, exactly. It's fortunate that I got a nudge from Tammy. I'm not sure *anything* would have clicked, this week, to be honest. It was a fickle sort of week and I needed encouragement.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-85199653758041612262014-02-21T11:00:34.525-06:002014-02-21T11:00:34.525-06:00That's the disadvantage of book tours... I am glad you liked this one in the end, though!Kailanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11136262232046813471noreply@blogger.com
