That's one reason I think she's likely to end up being my lap cat. We shall see. You know how much she likes being touched. LOL They both have their cuddly moments so maybe we'll get lucky as they age.

You missed out on meeting Miss Spooky. She was a *serious* lap cat and so heavy that body parts would occasionally go numb because she wanted to stay on your lap for hours. I loved reading with her on my lap, though. I miss that.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-31969295771654104672012-05-15T13:08:53.947-05:002012-05-15T13:08:53.947-05:00We've been really lucky with our cats. She gave me a sleepy smile and kept on snoozing. :)Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-27012421255627854432012-05-14T12:07:46.754-05:002012-05-14T12:07:46.754-05:00Awww....she looks pretty comfy snuggling there wit...Awww....she looks pretty comfy snuggling there with you...I bet it won't be long before she's a real lap cat.Melissas Eclectic Bookshelfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12954443867000135343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-1953342000242428622012-05-14T11:25:36.888-05:002012-05-14T11:25:36.888-05:00Might be, Alyce. I don't think I've ever had a cat that was snuggly without being completely neurotic at the same time (maybe that's just cats though). :)Alycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10919057159829023714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-77382616674255301152012-05-12T13:28:19.026-05:002012-05-12T13:28:19.026-05:00I'll be happy to spend some time with Casey on...I'll be happy to spend some time with Casey on my lap. :) Yes, sometimes those lap cats can be just a bit much, but I love a lap cat. Sometimes she is a bit too much of one, especially for the guy, but I am not really complaining. I just have to adjust her so I can still do what I am doing and she goes to sleep.Kailanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11136262232046813471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-66478485872332810352012-05-12T08:49:43.853-05:002012-05-12T08:49:43.853-05:00I didn't even have to try to turn my cat into ...I didn't even have to try to turn my cat into a lap cat - she's aggressive about it, and practically forces me to accept her on my lap. She likes being hugged, too. LOL I know what you mean about yours being "a little too lap-cat." I always felt guilty if I had to get up or shift around because a body part was getting numb with Spooky. She was a devoted lap cat, especially in the winter. I'd read with her on my lap or chest for *hours*, not wanting to disturb her.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-15983718471479259592012-05-11T23:31:31.671-05:002012-05-11T23:31:31.671-05:00Yeah, our Sunshine tended to get into my face. Both kitties are getting more snuggly, but it's probably going to be a slow process, partly because they're such active cats. They need to relax into it a little.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-62139897339234071932012-05-11T23:30:29.411-05:002012-05-11T23:30:29.411-05:00Aw, poor Allison. One of mine was more dog than cat -- Sunshine, the orange tabby in the sidebar. She was determined to make everyone her friend and ridiculously smart. She wasn't a lap cat, either, but she liked to curl up next to people with one paw outstretched and touching her humans. And, she liked chests. Late in her life, I found myself waking up sputtering with fur in my face, carefully displacing her and rolling onto my side (several times per night).

Thanks! :)Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-35329769328079263552012-05-11T21:32:20.838-05:002012-05-11T21:32:20.838-05:00Love it!Love it!Taminatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12375642888613084170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-8925760239315876012012-05-11T20:47:52.484-05:002012-05-11T20:47:52.484-05:00My kitty really is that chubby...and then some. :(...My kitty really is that chubby...and then some. :( I LOVE when my kitty sleeps against my back. I've had cats that would sit near me and one cat who you could pick up and carry around. She wouldn't even mind having her belly rubbed (cats don't normally like that.) I had one cat (that my parents still have) that likes to chew on your head when you're sitting -- but never a lap cat!

Adorable photo. :)Allisonhttp://www.wellreadreviews.comnoreply@blogger.com
