Something about cooking.Leshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08345657431432380804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-60014334146589370102009-07-12T13:22:36.598-05:002009-07-12T13:22:36.598-05:00Dar,

While I thought her characterization was excellent, I realized later that it was mostly internal. I had trouble visualizing several of the characters. I know Addison was balding and Phoebe was tiny and blonde, but I couldn't figure out what Andrea looked like. So, yeah, a bit more description at the beginning would have helped. I liked both novels I read, but I think I'll give it a break before I read another.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-14351004275544399742009-07-12T12:12:16.445-05:002009-07-12T12:12:16.445-05:00I really enjoyed this book but, at the beginning, ...I really enjoyed this book but, at the beginning, I'll admit to being a little confused as well. Maybe if a little more time had been spent on each character before moving on it might have helped. Either way, I look forward to reading more of her novels.Darlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15387389557243960084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-37281386081648440212009-07-09T22:43:45.912-05:002009-07-09T22:43:45.912-05:00Veens,

I took that photo on the Mississippi Gulf Coast -- only a 3-hour drive and we hardly ever go there. Claire in A Summer Affair threw up if she was hot or something upset her, too.

The scenes you mention are the ones I think are probably the most heart-tugging. The beginning of the novel only got me because I can relate a little too well. :)Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-87535591225123682852009-07-09T15:30:46.609-05:002009-07-09T15:30:46.609-05:00I enjoyed this one as well. I didn't cry but my eyes did start to sting a bit when Phoebe made her announcement and again when they went on the nature walk.Nicole (Linus's Blanket)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12473607646939202824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-67869484867602312172009-07-09T13:27:10.124-05:002009-07-09T13:27:10.124-05:00Kathy,

I cry during sweet, touching moments, too. You can imagine what Hallmark commercials do to people like me.
