It's always fun meeting fellow book buddies and extra special meeting one who goes so far back (since a few years before we both began blogging).Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-88194365854518162042015-08-11T10:41:43.510-05:002015-08-11T10:41:43.510-05:00How awesome that you got to meet-up with Andi. LOL We skipped gardening entirely, this year, thanks to the squirrels. Probably for the best. We needed the time to work on painting the deck and it's been so hot everything the squirrels left (they left *nothing* last year, so that's an optimistic statement) would be dead, anyway.

Poor Huz did his best. The other one was clearer but just not as good, expression-wise, unfortunately. So, I opted to go with the blurrier of the two. Husbands + cameras. heheAndihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05220718933942181809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-48785495382598444902015-08-10T15:51:09.010-05:002015-08-10T15:51:09.010-05:00We had a great time! Both stared at me but one is completely harmless (unless you're an insect -- Isabel is our pest control agency).

Husbands are exhausting things. We got a lot done, though, and it was pretty fun having him around. We've never had a staycation before!Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-76609148569354168702015-08-10T15:14:44.263-05:002015-08-10T15:14:44.263-05:00Love the picture! LOL

Enjoy your week. Love the fact that recovery is required after a husband 'at home'. I totally understand. ;-)Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13495669354860191042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-7664278155364619992015-08-10T14:33:24.738-05:002015-08-10T14:33:24.738-05:00I say it's spooky having a cat look down but I...I say it's spooky having a cat look down but I forgot to say that weird as it is, it makes me laugh every time. Just before I took this photo, I had looked up to see nothing but two little pointed ears and a pair of eyes. It was hilarious and so stinking cute that I ran to get the camera and that photo is what I ended up with -- similar but not quite as funny.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-38378951268079733202015-08-10T14:30:36.747-05:002015-08-10T14:30:36.747-05:00It was definitely a crazy week but an enjoyable on...It was definitely a crazy week but an enjoyable one for the change of pace. I'm still recovering from yesterday, I think. Our visit to the Memphis Zoo was a hot one. We came home and it was about 12 degrees hotter, here than in Memphis at 103° but the 90s are hot enough, thankyouverymuch.

I love it when the kitties sleep with me, but I confess it's pretty spooky looking up to see a cat looking down at you. I've been having a bout of insomnia for several weeks, now, and Husband cast me out because I was ruining *his* sleep. In the guest room, we have what used to be an entertainment center (without the part that holds the TV) serving as a headboard, now. Izzy jumps up to the top of the entertainment center from a rickety set of cube-shaped shelving units that came from Target (temporarily in our home while Kiddo is adrift) but they're not stable and she knows it. So, then she peers down at me and paces, trying to figure out how to get down. It's pretty funny but I have to drag myself out of bed and give her a pep talk to convince her jumping down on the bed is the best option. Cats are nutty.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-10128477123846133612015-08-10T13:42:44.250-05:002015-08-10T13:42:44.250-05:00Well it sounds like you had a wonderful excuse not...Well it sounds like you had a wonderful excuse not to read or write. I like when you have one of those crazy weeks that's so different from normal that it makes you appreciate the monotony.

And that pic? This is why I don't let the kitties sleep with me. Creepy! Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05738740015526095835noreply@blogger.com
