Know the feeling. But I need that closure.Zulu's Bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09844685545418350172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-86203182582512858962015-06-19T14:22:38.525-05:002015-06-19T14:22:38.525-05:00emotional *impact*emotional *impact*Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-1101663638956787262015-06-19T14:22:02.512-05:002015-06-19T14:22:02.512-05:00I read a mix but I think with slower pacing it'...I read a mix but I think with slower pacing it's all about timing. You have to be in the right mood. Actually, that's probably true with any book. I did feel a distance from Fereiba. I cared about what was happening to her and wanted her to make it to England but I think there was a part of me that desired a little confrontation, a bit more emotional impace. I wanted her, for example, to have a conversation with a particular character who hurt her, if only so they could put what happened behind them. But, it's possible in reality that couldn't happen in her culture. The lack of connection to characters, however, is something I just can't handle, and I'm not sure I could connect to Fereiba.Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05738740015526095835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-79344042835731042882015-06-19T09:38:25.455-05:002015-06-19T09:38:25.455-05:00My need for fast pacing comes and goes depending u...My need for fast pacing comes and goes depending upon what's going on in my life and this is one of those months that it's been hard to squeeze in an hour of reading, here or there. So, maybe not the best timing for me, but I'm glad I read it. It's through books like When the Moon is Low that we really learn about other cultures in a way we can't possibly understand from sound bites on TV and magazine/internet articles. Hope you find the time to fit it into your busy schedule!Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-26671524639328813972015-06-19T07:30:02.001-05:002015-06-19T07:30:02.001-05:00I do need a quicker pace these days but also love ...I do need a quicker pace these days but also love books like this so want to make the time to read it.bermudaonionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10726401178972099557noreply@blogger.com
