They were noisy, but I loved them. I'm hoping they made it to the other side of the yard alive. They obviously didn't go back to the garage. It's far too quiet.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-1138671040662525532008-06-07T01:16:00.000-05:002008-06-07T01:16:00.000-05:00I hope the baby wren is okay! It's better than sitting around thinking, "He's dead! I just know it!" :)

Myutopia,

I love cats but I really hate their natural instinct to hunt. It's sad finding a dead anything. I think he's kind of handsome at certain angles, but otherwise he just looks a little odd to me.

Bybee,

I have never seen The Birdman of Alcatraz. Can you believe that? Maybe I need to.

Little baby bird smelled like garbage, but he hopped away just fine, once I tipped the trashcan high enough that he no longer stuck in the slimy corner. I think that cat always has a purpose. He can jump straight up at least 5 feet.

Trish,

My cat is what we call "mostly indoors". She once came close to death from getting her rear end shredded by a pack of dogs, so we like to keep her close. I usually go outside with her, when she needs outdoor time, and then when I tell her it's time to go inside, she trots right behind me, into the house. We had more than our share of "gifts" when our two cats were able to walk outside through a cat flap.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-24736966004042631322008-06-06T06:57:00.000-05:002008-06-06T06:57:00.000-05:00Poor little guy! My sister's cat, Max, used to bring her rabbits and such (although technically he is an indoor cat as well). I hope the little birdie makes it OK.Trish @ Love, Laughter, Insanityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225576485797030511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-87431191054016586522008-06-06T00:52:00.000-05:002008-06-06T00:52:00.000-05:00I just saw Birdman of Alcatraz this week...do you ...I just saw Birdman of Alcatraz this week...do you like that movie?

He looks great in spite of everything. I told kiddo it was horribly quiet without the noisy baby chirping in the garage and the adult hollering at everyone and everything, then kiddo grabbed my shoulders and said, "Listen. Hear that?" Cicadas and other birds were making noise. We may not have heard our wrens, but it was a nice reminder that life goes on.

LOL! Vampire Kitty knew I was there. He was just relaxing after washing his paws. He's a nice cat as long as you don't pet him -- then he gets a wee bit too enthusiastic.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-7484730592464840732008-06-05T20:39:00.000-05:002008-06-05T20:39:00.000-05:00Awww... that is sad. I just drove up onto the driveway and there was a cat I've never seen lying under one of the cars, no chirping sound anywhere. No body, either, as far as I could see. So, maybe his wings dried off and they got away.
