Not a book I loved, not a total waste of time. There's one scene that I think you and I would agree is a totally pointless moment in which the heroine chose to toss morals on the fire. Maybe if it had some purpose . . . but near as I could tell, it did not.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-45386882707977585372013-05-02T14:55:41.228-05:002013-05-02T14:55:41.228-05:00I love the honesty in your review. I don't think I thought that subconsciously but I probably was expecting a more sympathetic character in the mother. There's a difference between determination to find someone you care about and bullying. She was a bit of a bully, in my humble opinion.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-80129155901262303022013-05-02T13:42:57.848-05:002013-05-02T13:42:57.848-05:00I know exactly how it feels to be propelled throug...I know exactly how it feels to be propelled through the remaining pages of a book more out of curiosity or the need for closure rather than genuine interest. :( It sucks, but at least you got to finish it. Too bad the protagonist wasn't written as well as she should have. You'd think an injured mother in search for her daughter would have been a more sympathetic character.D. This week: rain, rain and more rain. I just got inside from taking photos of water droplets and it's pouring, again. Yuck. My irises only bloom every 3 or 4 years but I think that might be because they're crammed into a big planter and they need to spread out plus maybe get a little vitamin injection. Hopefully, yours are just waiting till Mom Nature is done with the extra bits of winter weather she keeps tacking on!

Oh, and I was wearing a sweatshirt, this morning so . . . yeah.Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-18297112679332177712013-05-02T12:32:30.790-05:002013-05-02T12:32:30.790-05:00It's been absolutely beautiful in Texas. I'm back in a sweater today and hoping my fuschia and irises are ok. :( Andihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05220718933942181809noreply@blogger.com
