The "keen, perceptive" reading comment will undoubtedly be my warm fuzzy for at least a week. :)Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-18401274722933480552011-03-21T18:38:27.415-05:002011-03-21T18:38:27.415-05:00What a thoughtful, reflective review. I enjoyed hearing her described as "privately emotional."
That's keen, perceptive reading.

Thanks again. But, since we were expecting a big moon, we were outside the moment it rose over the horizon and the orange glow was quite a sight. Okay, darlin', I won't disappear. I'm going to be a very, very busy girl, though!!! So, posting will be sporadic. Fair warning. ;)

Zibilee,

I've been to Alaska twice and absolutely love reading anything set there. Mysteries are not my usual genre, either. I burned out on them a while back, but I'll read one, occasionally. I really like this series.

The reasons I'll be away are all good (so far). But, yep, the blog has got to go to the back burner.

Inside a Book,

Thanks! It was our spring break, last week, so the girls and I had some fun time cleaning madly while huzzybuns and kiddo went on a guy trip, then eldest came home the same night they returned. Busy week! Isabel says she approves of our eldest son (they just finally met) and we can keep him. LOL

Oh, yes, it's all positive. :)

Les,

True. I still constantly check your blog for updates. LOL I couldn't tell a visible difference in the proximity of the moon, but the moonrise was really stunning. It's probably like that all the time and we just don't notice, but we had a great time watching and photographing it! The photo I posted to FB made it on the evening news in Pennsylvania! How cool is that?

Kay,

I really love this author and am going to seek out her two earlier books. I hope you like her writing as much as I do.

Oh, hmm, you're a fine example for me, then, like Les. LOL Have you sold your house? I should have snapped it up. It's so pretty.

You forgot the supermoon?!! I've done that, too - missed stuff in the sky from forgetfulness. In this case, we were prepared. We had the camera on the tripod, ready to go, and all of us kept going in and out, watching the horizon. When we realized we weren't going to get any good shots because of the trees blocking our view, husband and I piled into the car with the camera still on the tripod, hanging over my shoulder, and rushed to the high school parking lot. We had such fun. :)

It'll be a few days before I get around to my next review, but I'll do Cutting for Stone, next. It was great finally being able to participate in a book group discussion!!Bookfoolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08247136634069540446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-49053305464338749832011-03-21T09:10:07.234-05:002011-03-21T09:10:07.234-05:00You've encouraged me to read this book or mayb...You've encouraged me to read this book or maybe the previous book and this one. I've had this author on my radar for a while.

Post when you can and don't worry. I've been in and out so many times, I know people think I'm a nut case! LOL

Didn't see the supermoon and I'm not sure why. I think I forgot. Been busy with our house selling and upcoming move this weekend.

Looking forward to hearing what you thought about CUTTING FOR STONE. I am going to be looking into this book.

I am sorry to hear that life is eating away at your blogging time, but have no fear, we will be here when you return!Zibileehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05857638467064749190noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29370872.post-79326385251916178642011-03-20T22:29:10.628-05:002011-03-20T22:29:10.628-05:00The supermoon was fun :) Not as big as I was expec...The supermoon was fun :) Not as big as I was expecting it to be, but it was extra bright and beautiful last night :) My only recommendation is DON'T DISAPPEAR COMPLETELY!!!!
