My cat has that toy! Actually, she has 2 of them, because she was so rough with her first one that I bought as second as an emergency backup if it ever broke. Oddly enough, the only "toy on a stick" things that Walmart ever had were toys where the stick part came in pieces that you had to snap together, which my cat promptly broke apart again. This particular toy, the best of its variety that I've been able to find in my town, came from a dollar store. Sometimes the best stuff turns out to be the cheapest. It looks like your cats enjoy it as much as my girl does.
Ours came from the dollar store, too! I've found exactly the same thing - the best cat toys are often the cheapest. Dollar General has rattle balls that Isabel is crazy about -- 3 in a package for $1. Unfortunately, those are pretty easy to step on and smash (and they've recently made them quieter by apparently adding fewer of whatever things are making the rattling noise, which kind of stinks) so we buy about a half-dozen packages at a time and move furniture to retrieve them when they all disappear.
Yep, the kitties are crazy about their fishing pole. I did have to replace it after the first one went to tatters. We bought some bird-on-a-stick toys in bulk, also, and the cats actually will catch the bird and then march off with the whole thing, stick and all.
It's possible that my cats are a wee bit spoiled. ;)
So, if Sunday is Friday now, can I have a do-over on this weekend? There's still so much I want to do that doesn't involve interruptions from my day job! ;-)
True. I gave up my reader over a year ago. It was stressing me out; I simply couldn't keep up with it. So, I went back to hopping to blogs via my sidebar. Someday, I need to check to see which blogs I abruptly stopped visiting because I haven't yet moved them to the sidebar -- I keep forgetting to do that!
None of our mice have catnip, but we do have some little bags of catnip that came with their cardboard scratchers. We used it when they were kittens. They act like Daddy's smelly shoes have catnip in them. What's up with that? LOL
We were sunny and bright, here, all weekend. I can't go outside for more than a couple minutes because there's something I'm fiercely allergic to in the air, but it was very pretty. The tornadoes seem to have been limited to KS, OK, NE and Iowa. I was really worried about Ryan in Wichita and stayed up waiting for him to say he was okay on FB. He's fine! Yeah, scary is right.
How old is your cat, Jenny? They do eventually tend to take less interest in playing. We're nowhere near that point, yet. Mine still come fetch me when they want to play. And, they are so freaking determined that I must follow!! It's wild.
Thank you for visiting my blog! I use comment moderation because apparently my blog is a spam magnet. Don't worry. If you're not a robot, your comment will eventually show up and I will respond, with a few exceptions. If a comment smacks of advertising, contains a dubious link or is offensive, it will be deleted. I love to hear from real people! I'm a really chatty gal and I love your comments!

Love the action shots!

Megan,
DeleteThanks!
Well, it's Monday, now. Might be a little difficult to get a do-over if you're already at work! But, I'd let you if I could.
LOL! When reading from a feed reader ANY DAY could be Friday.
ReplyDeleteCat nip? I still find occasional stuffed mice from Maggie's collection. Apparently dogs don't have the same affinity to catnip?!
Beautiful cuddly cats. As always. also hoping that your family was safe during the storms this weekend. Scary stuff!

Haha…kitties are so darn cute when they're being playful!! Oh I wish I could be as easily amused as a cat :p
ReplyDeleteThey sure are! I think I must have been a cat in a former lifetime because it doesn't take much to amuse me! :)
DeleteI wish my cat would play more often. You know, get some exercise. Sigh!

DeleteThose pictures are incredible! The fish do look delicious ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy! LOL. Yummy, lemon, cherry and blueberry fish?
