Root Karbunkulus Drawing

I've just used a random number generator to draw a name out of the proverbial hat and the winner of The Questory of Root Karbunkulus is:

Ashley

I see you have no accessible profile that leads to a blog, Ashley, so please contact me at bookfoolery (at) yahoo (dot) com. Congratulations!

  1. Even if I don't win it, which I hope is not the case :), it sounds like a great read aloud for my class next year. Thanks for the heads up about a new work which sounds really exciting!

  3. Sticky posts are slightly different since blogger started scheduled posts.

    From blogger:
If you want to give a post a date in the future but have it appear on your blog now, you’ll need to add in an extra step. First, publish your post with the current date and time. This will make it appear on your blog. Then, edit the post to change the date into the future and publish it again.

We don’t re-schedule posts that are already published, so the post will stay on your blog but sort to the very top. The same is true of future dated posts you’ve already made, so there’s no need to worry about your existing posts disappearing, or having your blog assaulted by unplanned entries in, say, 2027.

  6. Yeah, blogger changed, it's not you. They have 'scheduled publishing' now, which means sticky posts changed. Somebody told me that you can put a side element dated ahead, and then pull it over to the top of your posts, to make a sticky post. I haven't tried it yet,
I don't need to be in the drawing - I still have another book from you to read yet!

  10. Nat,

It worked! Thank you! You're my little blog helper angel. :)

    Raidergirl3,

Nat taught me how to fix the sticky. I'm so glad it's not just me. I thought something was fishy when I looked at my post-dated post and it said "Pending".

Well, hurry up and read that other book! LOL I'll be sure to not put you down.

    Everybody else,

I'm keeping track of everyone who signs up. Thanks for joining in!
