Merry Christmas!

No Sunday Pie, today, because we had a very busy day of cleaning, shifting and tossing out. The cat's not in focus, but here's Miss Spooky relaxing with Snowman in the glow of our Christmas tree. See the little bird ornament? It has a tiny tag that says "bird bath" and he's sitting in a bird bath, brushing the feathers of his back with a toothbrush. We've really enjoyed our candy cane/bird compromise tree.

Here's a full view of our tree. The funky 70's-looking thing at the top is really just an ornament; but, I liked it and nobody else cared what ended up as a treetop. The bird ornaments don't show up well, as I expected, but Debi asked to see the whole tree and here 'tis.

I'm going to take a week off from blogging to finish cleaning up and enjoy having the family around. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my wonderful bloggy friends!!!

  9. Thank you! Your tree is beautiful! And I'll bet it's even prettier in person when you can see the birdies better. Looks like there's still plenty of candy canes for stealing, too.

May you and your loved ones have a special, fun-filled, relaxing Christmas!

  17. Michelle,

Isn't that tree-topper the bomb? I got that at Pier 1's after-Xmas sale, last year. In fact, I got a lot of stuff at Pier 1 and most of it's pretty stupid, but it was comfort shopping. :)

Thank you! I've got one tour, tomorrow, then I'm really going to be off. I hope. :) Merry Christmas!

    Indigo,

I bought extra candy canes and the kiddo held some in reserve to eat . . . and now they're disappearing off the tree, again. LOL Teenagers are funny!

Thank you! Merry Christmas to you and yours, too!

    Veens,

Thank you and Merry Christmas! I just peeked. I'll be over to say thank you, as soon as I'm done commenting. :)

    Avagdro,

Thank you! Wishing you happy holidays!

  18. CJ,

I think "character" is a good way to put it. ;)

Merry Christmas!! (I won't sing, either)

    Lynne,

Thank you! Warm wishes to you and yours for a happy holiday!

    Debi,

Thanks and you're welcome! I think it's quite pretty, really, but it's a tad sparse. That's okay -- truly, this is the best we've done in a long, long time and we're all very happy with our little tree.

The candy canes are, however, disappearing.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

    Kathy,

Thank you! "Festive" is a great word. I like. :) Merry Christmas!

    Chris,

Thank you!! I hope you don't mind if I don't pass that award on because of time constraints (ask anyone who twitters -- it's because I do a lot of tweeting and cleaning, cleaning and tweeting). I wish you and yours a warm and happy holiday!

    Jessica,

Thanks! Right back at ya! Actually, I put my husband up for adoption, the other day, and I had three offers. But, I decided maybe I'll keep him for another day or two. :) Merry Christmas!

    Amy,

Merry Christmas!! Yes, definitely, take a few days off. You deserve a break (and it's kind of quiet in Blogville, anyway -- everyone's all busy and festive). :)
