All kinds of foolery, with focus on books, family, life and regular kitty reports
That certainly is a Whaooey statue! I love it. It reminds me of a series of statues that we have over here at The Audubon Zoo. They're gorgeous and copper(?) cast. There's one with a little boy sitting on a tortoise's shell that I just love...he's reading a book.
Chris,It's been a long, long time since I've been to the Audubon Zoo, but I remember that statue! I know why you love it. :)
What an absolutely lovely statue! And wahoo for wahoos! Oh, and I've tagged you for another award... stop by and see what it's about, will you?cjh
That statue makes me feel like spring.
What a joyful photo! Wouldn't it make a great book cover?
We've missed your wahoos!! It is a really beautiful statue. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'll be trying to figure out what to throw away. Laura and I have committed to ditching 10 things by May after reading your post about tossing 50 things. Baby steps...
I love this. Reminds me of spring which I'm still not seeing here. lol.
I really like that statue! For some reason it makes me thinking of spring... While the calendar says it is spring, we can't get our hopes up like that in Canada. They are calling for snow...
Whenever I see statues like this, I always want to pose in the exact same stance next to the statue. Actually, my friends and I have quite a few pictures doing just that! Great statue!
Gorgeous photo, Bookfool! I want a statue like that in my garden! what a joyful statue. thank you for sharing, it feels like spring, doesn't it?
Oh my, that statue totally deserves a big old Wahoo! Where is it?
CJ,I peeked at the award but didn't say anything because a migraine is making the monitor a little painful to look at. Thank you! I'll try to post about that, ASAP. Kathy,It's a very springy, happy statue, isn't it?Jenclair,Oh, yes, I think it would make a great book cover! Trish,Thanks! I'd actually totally forgotten about wahooing. This year, I've kind of dipped in and out of blogging whenever I feel like it. I need to at least get back to occasionally wahooing. It's an upper.10 things sounds great to me. I need to get back to work on the decluttering. I'm glad posting about that book inspired you!
Dar,We are heavily into spring, here. My husband mowed the yard for the first time, today, and we never actually finished raking the leaves. Oopsy. Kailana,Snow?? Wow. We're going to be dealing with summer weather pretty soon. That statue is a very happy, springy thing, isn't it? Laura,You will never see me posing in front of a statue because I like being behind the camera. My husband made me sit on a chair in the botanical garden (where the statue photo was taken) and I'm still stunned that he got away with it. Susan,That's exactly what I thought -- it's a joyful statue (or wahooey, depending upon your choice of wording). :) It's definitely spring in Mississippi. I need to hurry up and start planting the gardens or I'll be too late.Debi,The statue is in Mynelle Gardens, a botanical garden in Jackson, MS. We planned to go to the zoo for some photography fun, yesterday, but it was too crowded so we went to the botanical garden, instead. I must have taken at least 500 photos, yesterday. Everything is in bloom.
This is great...and I'd also like to see the boy on the tortoise shell.
Gorgeous statue, and joyful! It will brighten my rainy day--thanks!
Bybee,We'll just have to talk Chris into taking a picture.Gentle Reader,Isn't it great? We had a week of rain and I was very glad when it ended. Hope you squeeze in plenty of reading time.
Gosh, I just love that statue! Thanks for sharing!
Wouldn't it be great if we could all wahoo everyday?
Trish,You're welcome. Isn't it a happy statue?Michell,It certainly would. I need to get backto wahooding regularly.
I've missed your Wahoo's, Nancy. My Reader seems to be lagging--this just showed up today. It's a wonderful statue. I can see why you like it. :-)
Wendy,It was easy enough to get used to not wahooing. I'll have to work on it. Isn't that a great statue?
Oh, I love that statue! Makes you feel free and peaceful just looking at it.
Amy,Exactly. I'm glad everyone else has enjoyed seeing this statue as much as I did!
