Fiona Friday: Two-fers

Two Fionas for the price of one! But, one of them has a slight tail disorder. After I posted the photo above, I decided I might as well add the second Fiona and Twin photo, so here you go, complete with clean laundry:

  1. When our dog was a puppy, she was fascinated by her reflection in the mirror. As she got older, she didn't pay it any attention.

  2. Adorable! Definitely easier to style the 'hair' with a mirror! haha

When she was little did she try to attack mirrors? My cats were all about that.

(Also, how funny is it that my word verification on this post is furreez?)

  3. Kathy,

Fiona's more bent on trying to open the door than anything else. Sometimes she cries out in frustration. It's just as cute as can be. :)

    Amy,

She's definitely working on her grooming routine, there. :)

I don't recall Fi attacking mirrors, so if she did it was only briefly. Mostly, she's focused her time on trying to open the doors, which frustrates her no end. That's our office closet. In the bedroom, we had another set of mirrored closet doors but they're open. She's climbed up sleeves and across the tops of hangers, but I haven't managed to catch her doing so with the camera.

Your word verification is a hoot! I love it when they fit the post theme!

  4. Carrie,

I got another double-Fi photo, last night, that makes her look like twins. I may start a series . . .

  5. I love those pictures. We have a mirrored wall and I love getting double pictures of Dillon. Still perfecting that. :)

  6. Krista,

What a fabulous idea! We haven't had ours for long and the cat moves so fast that this is the first time I've caught double images, but it would be awesome to use the mirrored doors for portraits. Thanks for mentioning that!!!

  7. She looks like she's posing in the first one!

  8. Jeane,

She stopped to lick herself or I would have totally missed that shot. Fiona puts up with me, but she seldom stays put for long unless she's napping!

  9. SuziQ,

Thanks. She's also a hooligan but a smart one. A little bit ago, Fi started chewing on a box and I only had to show her the water bottle. She flinched and backed away, no squirting necessary. Yay!

  12. I don't know how I've been missing out on these Fiona photos - I'm going to have to pay more attention. Especially since she looks almost exactly like my Tiger kitty.

  13. Care,

Anything to make you smile, dear. :)

    Les,

You know, the funny thing is that I absolutely did not care what she looked like -- I was looking for personality in a kitty and Fiona is bursting with it. But, she just keeps getting cuter. :)

Haha! I love those crazy word verifications that fit!

    Alyce,

You have a gray and black tabby, too? Cool! I started Fiona Friday a couple of months ago. Everyone seemed to enjoy photos of our new girl, so I figured I might as well just give her a regular feature. She is very, very patient with me, even though she doesn't particularly like the camera.

  14. I used to have a cat that attacked her reflection.

  15. Serena,

I'll bet that was fun to watch! Fiona actually isn't afraid of other cats at all (and she catches on fast -- it would probably only take one time touching her reflection to figure out it wasn't another cat). She and a neighborhood kitty just sat at a window looking at each other, one day. That was so funny to me because my other cats would hiss and spit and attack the window, trying to get at a strange cat but Fiona was just curious about Slim -- no hissing, no fluffed tail. I suppose that bodes well for eventually trying to add another kitty to the family!
