September Photo Challenge, Part 1

I joined in on the FatMumSlim photo challenge in September.  Although I didn't manage to do every day's challenge, thanks to the whole moving business (which is continuing to munch and swallow my time), I really enjoyed the way it made me think about new subject matter to photograph.  I'm not going to share them all, but I have enough to divide a selection into two posts.  More to come, probably tomorrow.

#1. Me, now.

#4.  In my mailbox

#7.  Natural - Two kitty pics in natural light; nose focus on the left and eyeball focus on the right.

#10. Black + White

#12. Together (sky, tree and cardinal together)

#14. Favorite (Favorite thing husband brought home from the UK)

#15. First thing I see. The first thing I see when I turn on my iPad is a photo I took in London.

#16.  Strange.  Kitty licking fairy dust.

  1. I'm glad you joined in - this is such a fun thing to do and I love seeing all mu friends different interpretations of the daily prompts. Hope you're continuing with October too!

    1. I am joining in on October, but I'm already a couple days behind. Sometimes I get tired of loading daily so I just wait till I've got several days' worth and then upload and edit several at once. It's really amazing to see what people come up with, isn't it?

    1. I loved your photos so much I even saved a couple in my "Borrowed images" file (so I can go back and enjoy them, some more -- borrowed images are never republished, just FYI)! You should join in, again!

  3. That Doctor Who dress-up kit looks like so much fun! My husband has the sonic screwdriver and suspenders, but needs to get a bow-tie to finish out the whole look. :)

    1. Isn't that cool? I'll have to give Kiddo the bow tie, but I'm keeping the sonic screwdriver and TARDIS key. He's already got two sonic screwdrivers, so . . . mine, mine all mine. :)

  4. Great pix! I printed out the list for October, but have yet to shoot a single photo. I may skip this month. Or maybe I'll take a dozen shots this weekend. ;)

    Love the iPad photo. :)

    1. I'm trying to keep up, this month. So far I'm close. I don't snap photos every day because I can't bear loading them constantly, which is why you see several at once on FB. But, I'm having loads of fun with the challenge. Whatever works for you is good! If you need to take a month off, no biggie. If it's more fun playing catch-up and just doing them now and then, go for it! I love it for the challenge but sometimes post crappy photos because they fit the themes. I'm in it to make myself think rather than perfect, you know? I do need to work on perfection, though (and get a pair of bifocals -- that would help with the manual focusing).

Thanks! That's one of my favorite photos. :)

    2. "perfection" not "perfect". I need to work on typing perfection, also . . .

    3. I need bifocals, too. My regular glasses are fine for reading, but I hate to keep them on top of my head the rest of the time... although they make a nice headband. ;)

    4. I got a pair of bifocals but something was wacky about them. I couldn't read with them at all. Maybe because I ordered them online? We might have measured something wrong, although I know the prescription was right. Need to try again. It's sucky not being able to see the focusing screen without them and what I end up doing in the case of something like photographing hummingbirds (which you have to do manually), I just keep them perched on the end of my nose and push them up when a hummingbird shows up. Such a nuisance!
