Waiting . . .

No review today because we're just sitting here, waiting for the new sofa to arrive. This little gal will go flying under a bed when the delivery guys knock.

This seems like a good opportunity to show off a full view of the "good shelves". Unfortunately, the phone camera is all I've got, right now, so you can't see the books all that well. But, aren't the shelves pretty?

Izzy's a great meowdel. She also let me take her picture with my most recently finished read (as of last night).

Happy Tuesday! Hopefully, I'll have a review finished and posted early tomorrow.

  1. Those are some good looking shelves. I just took a stack over to the Little Free Library down the street. The one that is never maintained. Grumble. But it was nice to clear a little space for more books.

New couches! Yay! I love the set we got and the pup is finally okay with it. She loved our last couch so much.

    1. Thanks! We have a Little Free Library in our area but it's always absolutely crammed and I don't want to take anything out of it, just put books in. So, I've been been boxing books up to donate to an area library for their sale. Of course, now I don't want to deliver them because our Covid numbers are skyrocketing and I think isolating is best, for the moment.

It's going to take some getting used to, this new couch. It's an L-shape and quite deep so it pretty much takes up the entire room. We're actually going to have to get rid of a chair or two. But, man, is it comfy!!! The only other downside is the fact that Fiona seems to think it's a giant scratching post. Yikes.

  2. Very nice shelves! Do you keep the most precious books behind glass (just wondering)? and what's in the closed doors? Curiosity!

    1. Not all of the books behind glass are my most precious because I have to put some mass market paperback books on a couple of the shelves in order to make things fit properly. But, yeah, a lot of my favorite author collections and favorite single titles are in there. Not all because I just love so many! LOL Most of my signed books are behind glass but not all. I have a collection of signed books by Nevada Barr from when she lived here that are up on an open shelf.

Behind the closed doors are some seasonal decorations for the mantle, books that I consider of lesser importance but have just kept on those shelves for years (many still unread, eeks), and some photo albums on the bottom shelf. It's kind of a hodge-podge, nothing overly pretty that I'd display.
