Now We Are Six

Trish very kindly reminded me it's my 6th bloggiversary, today, and Carrie has informed me that she told Trish. Thank you, Carrie and Trish! I'd forgotten, what with all the hullaballoo about houses and being buried in laundry and having to play with cats who literally holler at you because they are dying if you don't roll jingle balls (which, I must confess, I love).

I can't believe it's been six years. I'd get all mushy and melodramatic if I wasn't stressing about the counter-offer to our offer on that house and the fact that if I move I'll be leaving my gym, which is just the happiest place I've been the entire time I've lived in Mississippi.

So . . . could somebody just send me a Decision Fairy?

Also, cupcakes all around! Virtual confetti! Woots and Wahoos!

  1. So...counter offer?

    1. Yep, she countered our offer and it's actually reasonable. A few more thousand and we're at the current rate of appraisal for most houses in the neighborhood. SCARY!

    2. And, if you meant, "Are you going for it?" I think the answer may be "Yes." Huzzybuns is figuring the numbers, as we speak.

  2. Happy Bloggiversary! If only I had a Decision Fairy, I'd gladly lend you her services. Only lend, though, my dreadful decision-making skills need all the help they can get! ;-)

    1. I'd take a Decision Fairy on loan. :) But, since you don't have one, I've got this husband who has already typed up the counter-offer and is just waiting for ME to hit send. Oh, the cruelty. Thanks for the bloggiversary wishes, Megan!

    1. Thanks! I know, right? I really want a cupcake. Instead, I think I'm about to buy a better kitchen to cook future cupcakes in. :)

I hope everything regarding the house works out as you hope, or as it was meant to be. :)

    1. Thanks, Nat! Have you had a bloggiversary, yet? We started around the same time, didn't we?

Thank you. I am so nervous about the idea of buying a house, again, but there are many reasons to go for it. :)

    1. Thank you, Carrie! No fairy showed up. Sigh. Those decision fairies are so elusive.

  6. Happy Six Years! We have our house for sale too but since nobody seems to want it, we don't have to invoke the decision fairies!

    1. Thank you! Our house is not actually for sale, yet. It's become a bit of a fixer and we'll be working on it before putting it up for sale. It's paid for, though. Hope you find a buyer soon, Jill!

  7. Thanks for the virtual cupcake. It was delicious -- and no calories! I'd say choosing 6-6-06 as your beginning date should make it easy to remember. Mine is 1-30-07, so as a blogger, you are about half a year older.

    1. It's been very easy to remember since I realized I had a devilish start date, Bonnie! :) I was kind of pre-occupied, yesterday, though. Not long till you turn 6, too!

  9. Goodness Girlfriend! Start looking of the positives in this new adventure or I will soak the book I'm giving you in the bathtub before I ship it to you. :P

And happy SIX - I'm the one who told Trish you were having a bloggiversary and I sent you a card but it won't get there til tomorrow or so, probably.

And you have a ton of comments! Boy, I'm being tough on you, aren't I?

    1. Big meanie! Don't worry. I'm just panicking about being in debt, again. It's really, really fun being debt-free because you can afford to dash off to Boston or Japan, now and then, ya know? I'll miss that. We're just waiting for a response, now.

Thanks! And, thank you for telling Trish! I didn't know you'd done so. Want me to go back and give you credit? I can do that. I loves ya.

Eh, I'm used to you. :)

    1. Hey, Carrie. Missed you! Yep, moving 30 miles east. Our offer was just accepted. We still have to fix up this house to sell, so we'll be dueling homeowners, for a while. I think Huz will get this house and I'll go have fun in the new one. ;)

PS. Now I want a cupcake...too bad I have no eggs in the house! lol

    1. Thanks, Melissa!

We are done with the house hunt! The owner of the house we were looking at accepted our offer, today. I may be scarce around here, for a couple months. Exciting!

Me, too - want cupcake, no ingredients. Need to go grocery shopping!

  14. Meredith,

The Decision Fairy is an elusive gal. She totally evaded me. I had to just suck it up and press "send" on our counter-counter offer but it's a done deal. Our offer was accepted, so we'll be moving! Woot! I will have a covered patio for reading on cool winter days!!! Husband is most excited about the attic, of all things. LOL

The Declutter Fairy *hates* me. She's afraid of my house. Can't say I blame her, but there is where that nice attic will come in, I suppose. :)

  20. I'm very late, too! Somewhere in the recesses of my mind, I wonder if I sent you an email instead of commenting here. Can't remember, so I'll just wish you (again?) a very Happy Blogiversary. 6 years is quite amazing, isn't it? Think we'll all be around doing this in 2018? Hope to meet you sometime before then!!
