All I have to do is spread a blanket on my lap and I have an instant buddy. Love cold weather for the cuddle time.

So cute!!! I’m missing my kitties so bad!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet you are, but it looks like you're having a great time. Loving your photos!
DeleteI wish my cats would do this. They hover, but not lap cats.
ReplyDeleteCats are funny things. It took Fiona several years to become a lap cat and even then, only on certain conditions. She won't lie on my lap unless I have a blanket stretched across my legs. And, she used to jump down at the slightest movement on my part (but, now, she looks groggy and fights getting down if I try to get up - so funny). Isabel will walk across a lap but never, ever settle on it. But, she'll lie on my lower legs in bed, sometimes, and she gets on the couch cushion behind me and drapes herself over my shoulder. I'll take it. :)
DeleteMy cat is not very snuggly, except in the cold weather he wants to lie across any lap and will even rest on the bed- by our feet. I do like that coziness.
ReplyDeleteBy comparison with my last two (one a lap *addict*, the other the most overtly affectionate puppy cat I've met in my life but not a lap cat - she always touched whoever she was lying near with a single paw) the two I have now appear to be downright snobbish. But, Fiona does love a good lap, especially in the winter. Isabel is always nearby but not a snuggler, although she'll get on the cushions behind me on the couch and drape herself over my shoulder, which I love. And, sometimes she'll summon the courage to lie on my legs, especially during the cold. They're both sweethearts so I try to just let them be affectionate on their own terms but I do miss having a snuggler. Except, my snuggly cat also liked to pull down a book and climb on top of it when I tried to read!
