No human fingers were damaged in the making of this image (thank goodness). You can tell she was thinking about getting back at me, though.

Wow! Impressive. I can’t get my kitties to sit still when I put something on their heads. I’ve made it my mission to place a water bottle on Belly’s head with out her instantly knocking it off. One day it will happen and I’ll capture it.
ReplyDeleteIt was an interesting process. She was asleep and I thought I'd just be able to do a "Stuff on my cat" type of photo but then she woke up when I rustled around, so I let her sniff the crown (which is on a comb - I actually set it down beside her for a bit) and held it over her head, lowered it partway, held it back up, lowered it slowly - I did that until she stopped fearing it and then very, very slowly put it on her head. Ta-da! It worked! She was not particularly pleased, though, and once I had my picture, I put it away and told her thank you. Good luck with that water bottle!
DeleteMy cats and hats never work out. I really need someone to put the hat on, while I take the picture because by the time I have it lined up, they have moved. lol
ReplyDeleteSee my reply to Jenny, above, if you want to know how I managed to get that little crown on her head. Isabel has so many fears that I always take my time with her. I don't want to make her afraid of the one person she trusts (moi) and I would have given up rather than force it on her, if going slowly hadn't worked. It's funny, though, that she was the one who was nice and calm while I put a bow on her head for Christmas and Fiona tried to eat the bow. LOL Cats are funny.
DeleteWhen I had my cat, if I put anything on his head he would just collapse.
ReplyDeleteThere's a video of a cat doing that when someone put a flower on his head. Have you seen it? It's hilarious. Mine are fairly tolerant of me, for the most part, but when I tried to put a bow on Fiona's head for a Christmas photo, she snapped at it with her teeth (she doesn't bite me, no worries - just objects) and it was a slow process putting the little tiara on Isabel's head. I had to get her accustomed to it, first.
