The cartoon look isn't too dramatic, but I used phixr.com to add a little effect to two Fiona pics. First, Fiona being naughty, chomping down on a Mt. Dew box (you can see this was taken during a thirsty week when we were in dire need of sugary caffeine):
And, a sweet Fiona closeup. I love her face!

I love the cartoon look. Her face is adorable close-up.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteThanks, I think so, too. It's funny; I adopted her because I fell in love with her personality and didn't pay much attention to her looks. I think she gets cuter, every day. Maybe it's just that I'm so crazy about her, but I do think she's a cutie pie. :)
Yes, she's a cutie pie, especially in the close-up of her face. I like being able to count every whisker and almost every hair of her fur. She's so expressive!

Lion Shah?
Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteYou must have plenty of time on your hands. ;)
Lion Shah? Close. Lion Princess, I think.
You make me want a kitty like no one ever has before, Nancy!! Five years ago, that sentence would have been unheard of out of my mouth :/
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't actually COUNT the hair, but it's cool to be able to SEE every hair. How's that? I have scheduled TWO Caturday posts for the wee hours of tomorrow morning: one of Donna's cat Sammy and another Kiki Caturday. Mine are blurry, so that's why I'm impressed with yours. You, however, aren't using a cellphone camera!
ReplyDeleteChris,
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I am all for converting people from indifferent to Cat Lovers. :)
I'm sure you'd love Fiona. I often find myself wondering how on earth she could have been abandoned once and then rejected/unadopted because Fi is a stunningly lovable animal. We were all sitting around talking, last night, and Fiona had us in stitches with her antics. At one point, she jumped into my husband's open travel bag, which was propped on top of his suitcase. Everything came tumbling down and it was the second time she'd gotten into something and gone flying in less than about 5 minutes.
My little sweetie is washing her ears, right now. You wanted to know that, right?
Bonnie,
I was just kidding. I knew you weren't counting every hair! LOL It is a neat effect, though, isn't it? I had fun playing with phixr, tonight. Then, Kiddo kicked me off the computer. Shhh! I'm on my netbook, hiding in my room.
I'll drop by to see your pictures, tomorrow. Kitties are always fun to see! No, I wasn't using a phone, but these pics were taken with my little point-and-shoot. I think it's actually best for kitty photos because you can set a little camera on the floor or windowsill, right down at the cat's level and get some cool effects.
The Mtn Dew box picture is begging for a LOLcaption! :)
ReplyDeleteRosemary,
ReplyDeleteOh, good point. I'd give it a whirl but it's too early in the morning. Guess who just woke me up, climbed onto my chest, purred up a storm (because she was perfectly willing to accept an ear rub) and then quietly informed me it was time for breakfast? Well, at least she was nice about it. No yowling - just a look that said, "You're following, right?"
Fiona is such a cutie and so full of mischief too!
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeleteYep to both. She's being a nuisance, right now. I think she's about to get tossed into the hallway with a door firmly shut behind her. I'm too tired to keep peeling her off walls and taking Kleenex boxes away from her. What is so fun about shredding tissues?
These are great. The first pic especially could be a poster!
ReplyDeleteShe's such a cutie!! What is it about chewing the boxes?? Howie does that too. Not as much as he did when he was a kitten, but he's never fully given it up.
ReplyDeleteShe is a cutie! My kids love looking at her pictures now too since we've realized how much she looks like our Tiger cat.
ReplyDeleteIliana,
ReplyDeleteA poster for people who love gazing at naughty cats? LOL I like. :)
SuziQ,
Thanks. :)
Oh, dear. I was really hoping Fi would give up box chewing, someday. I have no idea what the deal is. Maybe the texture? Or the joyous crunch noise? I just noticed the blind pulls behind my bed have teeth marks, too, so maybe it's their inner dogs wishing for a meaty bone. LOL
Alyce,
Oh, how cool! I'm glad you've got your kids enjoying the pictures. Is your tabby as big a trouble-maker as ours? Fi is so cool -- into everything, but she's such a lovable beast that she's more entertaining than annoying.
Such a cutie pie I agree! I miss having a cat but right now things are too crazy. lol that and I want a sheltie! :)
ReplyDeleteKrista
Too cool!
ReplyDeleteKrista,
ReplyDeleteI'm increasingly of the opinion that things are always crazy, which makes me just want to go out and get three more kittens. Don't tell Fiona.
Carrie,
Isn't it? I spent way too much time playing with phixr, yesterday. It's a totally fun way to waste time.
LOVE these pictures--especially the second one. Although I could use a nice cold Mountain Dew about now!
ReplyDeleteLeft you a Versatile Blogger mention for you (and Fiona) at my blog today.
Trish,
ReplyDeleteThe second one is my favorite, too, although I do love a Mt. Dew. :)
Why, thank you (from both of us)! I haven't been to your blog in a while. Come to think of it, I really ought to get back to blog-hopping regularly, but I don't think it's going to happen till Kiddo is off at school. This has been quite an overwhelming summer.
too cute...guess she needs her caffeine fix too!
ReplyDeleteSerena,
ReplyDeleteShe actually flinches when she tries to sniff a coke. It's pretty funny -- like the smell of soda pop somehow offends her.
