Boy, something's really got her attention.
ReplyDeleteLike mother, like daughter.
ReplyDeleteKathy,
ReplyDeleteProbably a squirrel . . . or bird or chipmunk. We have plenty of wildlife to watch. :)
Carrie,
Hey, I've been getting out! But, not Fi. She's still stuck inside, poor baby.
Wow! She's very intense! My cat had a cat fight the other night through the window. She pulled my curtains down in the process! I had to go outside in my underwear and chase the other cat away. Luckily it was the middle of the night and no one saw me!
ReplyDeleteJenny,
ReplyDeleteLOL Yes, I suppose she is! Fiona doesn't mind other kitties walking by but Isabel flings herself bodily at the window when the neighborhood cats come near. I know what you mean. Fortunately for us, we just have blinds and toppers on most of our windows.
Aw...poor Fi :p
ReplyDeleteShe looks terrified!
ReplyDeleteLol, her eyes look like they're going to burst out of her head! Whenever my cat gets like that, she destroys the living room blinds just a little more. I console myself by telling myself that, once she's less likely to climb them, I'm going to get myself curtains. Of course, that might not get to happen for many years, but it still makes me feel a little better.
ReplyDeleteChris,
ReplyDeleteShe seems to be surviving. :) Poor kitty does desperately want out, but she's safer indoors with all those dogs running around (and cars zipping past).
Care,
Nope, just curious! She has huge eyes and they are wide when she's alert (as opposed to sleepy).
Library Girl,
I know! They're such big eyes. Umm, come to think of it, the blinds aren't doing too well. I've got blinds at least partly because I've always had cats and don't want to watch curtains get torn apart, but after a while they do calm down a bit. Could be a year or four till that happens, with my two spunky young'uns. If yours are is as young as mine, you might have a bit of a wait!
She looks entranced! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE her excitement!! She's just amazed at that big old world outside. Isn't it grand?? I wonder if we look that way sometimes? I hope so. I want to always be in awe and never jaded.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your captured moment. It is priceless.
Poor Kitty. She looks a bit intent on whatever has caught her eye, and here she is stuck. Just like me going to work Monday morning. Should be glad, feel a bit trapped as of late. Really, I have to photograph Samantha so you can see how she and Fiona are sisters.
ReplyDeleteZibilee,
ReplyDeleteThanks! There must have been a squirrel outside. I just wasn't paying attention. I always think it's so cute when the kitties stand on their hind legs to look out the screen door, so I was focused on getting that Fiona Friday shot!!
Gaye,
You know, the funny thing is that when she does sneak out (which happens occasionally), she's actually pretty terrified and doesn't go far. But, there is nothing that thrills the kitties more than open windows. They love the sounds and smells of outdoors. Yes, we can all stand to look at the world through the eyes of someone so fascinated. It's way too easy to get bored or jaded. Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
Bellezza,
That wide-eyed look is really something, isn't it? I'm guessing she must have seen a squirrel . . . or a bird or a lizard or -- okay, there's actually quite a bit to catch a kitty's eye, when you get right down to it. We're not shy of wildlife.
I'm sorry you're feeling trapped! Does school end soon? I think my son (you know he's a math teacher, now, right?) still has at least 2 or 3 weeks left. They had quite a few snow days in Nashville, this year.
I would *love* to see photos of your Samantha!!! Wish you posted more kitty pics, really. :)
Love your cat pics - they have such interesting personalities, don't they? Our cats are strictly indoors - too many big, bad monsters out there for little defenseless cats.
ReplyDeleteShe's so pretty. She's really curious.
ReplyDeleteTwiga,
ReplyDeleteHere, there! Long time no see! Thanks! Yes, they do have truly fascinating personalities. Ours are indoors-only, too. Our dearly departed Miss Spooky loved the outdoors but was injured several times and I vowed that when we got new kitties they would stay indoors *all* the time. Fiona has slipped out a few times but she never gets more than a few feet onto the porch. We're determined to keep her safe.
Tea,
Thank you! She is intensely curious. Really, that's one of the things I adore about most about cats. They never do lose that curiosity. I love my little explorers! :)
This is exactly how I felt today...working...on a Saturday. lol
ReplyDeleteAndiloo,
ReplyDeleteForgive me for having genuinely laughed out loud when I imagined your eyes popping out like Fi's. :) Sorry you had to work, today. Very bummery.
So cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrea!
