In other news:

So far, I have not convinced myself to return to the Kate Hudson book I started a few weeks ago, partly because I was finding it too general and partly because it requires work. I hate books that involve effort - you know, evaluating your habits and taking notes. Blah. But, I intend to return to it because I don't feel like I got far enough in to give it a fair shake. Maybe this will be the week. Guess we'll find out.

    1. Yeah, I used to never give up on books but then I started to realize that time on Earth is limited, so I needed to be willing to let go. I think it's a positive thing. We want to use our time well, after all!

    2. I think age has a lot to do with giving in to giving up on books. I hit my late 20s and suddenly decided I was not going to suffer through books any longer.

    3. It took me a lot longer than that, unfortunately. I just finally managed to talk myself into not finishing books that don't grab me a few years ago. The reasoning was that I spent good money on them so I ought to read them (I have always bought most of my books because we had a terrible library system - better, now). I'm over that. Yep, it's age.

    1. Yes, yes you do. :) I'm hoping to read Simon's latest book-after-next. I got my very first Inter-Library Loan, this week! That comes first because the fine if it's late is a whopper. Then, Simon, I hope!!! Oh, the excitement!
