Thanks to a whopper of a storm, last night, and a typo . . . at least I keep things interesting . . . I have just now pulled three numbers out of a hat. The winners of the Chunkster Check-in drawing are:
1. Kris of Not Enough Books
2. Raidergirl3 of An Adventure in Reading
3. MissyJoon of Persian Purls and Yarnovers
Congratulations! I'll contact each of you through your own blogs and then, as soon as I get my stove cleaned off, I'll whip up those bookmarks. My husband has been home most of the week; I have to unbury the stove when he's in town. 'Nuff said.
Just finished A Spoonful of Humor, last night, which means I'll be writing up two book reviews in between loads of laundry, today. I was going to do laundry yesterday, but a storm was on its way and I am, unfortunately, a human barometer (back of hand to forehead, large sigh, "I was suffering darlings").
Thanks to all who checked in and shared their progress on the Chunkster Challenge!
Did you take that picture? I LOVE IT! I wish we had birds like that around here. I am elated when I see a bluejay or a cardinal and here you have these fancy-schmancy birds! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats winners!
Hi Joy!
ReplyDeleteYes, I took that photo. We have a red-headed woodpecker living in our area - not sure exactly where, but I've seen him a lot and I hear him knocking, even more frequently than I see him. They're so pretty they almost don't look real! We do have some incredible wildlife, here!! :)
Oh, Yay for the winners. Sobs from me, though. J/K
ReplyDeleteAre you in Nashville? Made a trip there once and enjoyed it! I don't mind the flight to Memphis but what I can't stand is being cooped up for longer then 9 hrs in a plane. Arrghh!!
ReplyDeleteIs that really a woodpecker - it's so pretty.
Booklogged,
ReplyDeleteThere's always that last drawing in June. ;)
Indigo,
No, I'm in Vicksburg, Mississippi. I know what you mean. Those long plane flights are horrible. There's only so far you can walk around in a plane and I get tired of sitting.
Yes, that's a real woodpecker on one of our neighbors' trees. He's a beauty, isn't he?
Congrats to all the winners! I'm actually just finishing my last chunkster now. It was a great challenege.
ReplyDeleteNik,
ReplyDeleteI'll try to remind everyone individually, but check back in on June 30 for the final drawing. And, congratulations!!
Awesome, awesome picture!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture, Nancy! Everytime I visit your blog I am motivated to go for a walk with my camera to see what I can shoot, but then life gets in the way and I forget!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners and thank you so much for hosting this challenge. I read only one out of the three books I picked for the challenge! :(
Les,
ReplyDeleteThanks. I knew you'd like that one. :)
Lotus,
Thank you and I know what you mean. I actually didn't get out my camera for years, except for the occasional birthday and the annual family Christmas photo. I hate to think of all the wonderful things I didn't bother to photograph - especially my youngest son's early years.
The challenge isn't over till June 30th. You still have time! I'll have one last drawing, then. :)
