Fiona has decided her presence is a pretty much a non-issue.
However, Isabel is still behaving aggressively. Here she is sniffing around the door of Prissy's room. On the plus side, I've picked up Isabel rather than Prissy when the two ended up in the same room (not deliberately on our part), without dire consequences. I was pretty certain Isabel would pinwheel and slash me to a bloody pulp if I ever had to pick her up rather than the kitten. But, no. She just stiffened and hissed. Kiddo says, "She would have slashed anyone else." Probably true.
Another plus -- no effect whatsoever to Izzy and Fi's relationship. They still cuddle and play-fight the same as always.
It will be fun to see what happens within the next week or two.

It took our original cats a while to figure it out, we had an aggressive one too. Once it was all settled though, nothing else dramatic ever happened. I'm glad things are moving along OK.
ReplyDeleteBridget! Long time no see!
DeleteThat is very good to know, although I suspect little one is triggering a touch of asthma with her long hair and extra dander. We'll just keep on fostering and see how it goes. I do think the fact that Isabel didn't tear me into tiny, bloody shreds is a positive. :)
That's a wonderful photo of Fiona's tummy!
ReplyDeleteLOL Thank you! We get a lot of tummy shots. It's her standard relax mode - on the back, tummy exposed. :)
DeleteYou know you're making me want ANOTHER cat don't you? ;)
ReplyDeleteVictory! Quick, go to your shelter. It's apparently kitten season. ;)
DeleteI love how sweet Isobel and Fiona have come to be with each other :) it's oh so adorable!!
ReplyDeleteIt's truly lovely to see the way they cuddle, Chris. They also obviously express concern for each other if one is distressed. Fiona had to go to the vet for her final shot, this week. Izzy followed her around but in a kind way, if that makes sense. It was really touching.
