  1. That's a pretty impressive list of reading, lady!!!

  2. Debi,

Well, maybe not so much if you look closely, but thank you. :)

    Care,

    LOL Thanks!

  3. Holy cow! If I read as many books as you a month my TBR pile wouldn't be so daunting! Way to go!

  4. Jenny,

LOL Thanks! My TBRs are still daunting, but not the ARCs, so much. I'm being a lot more discriminating and that's really helped.

  5. Kudos to you. My paltry numbers pale in comparison but that's my space in life right now. Que sera sera.

My lofty 2012 goal is 50. I'm aiming at reasonable and attainable. Now, keeping a cleared off desk - -unattainable!!

Loved seeing your titles. Thanks for sharing a year of good reads.

Happy New Year to you and the kitties.

  6. I'm amazed! 143 books is more than I've ever read in one year; this year, my total was only 82 as I read the Bible during all of Lent. Anyway, so happy for all you've accomplished in 2011!

  7. Gaye,

We all read at different paces and our priorities change from one year to the next. As long as you're happy with your reading . . . that's what counts, right? I used to shoot for 52 -- one per week. Then, I raised it to 100. And, then one year I read 209 books and decided I needed to slow down and enjoy my reading more! :)

Oh, the desk. My desk is on the agenda. But, so is pretty much every other surface in the house.

    Thanks! Happy New Year!

    Bellezza,

82 is fantastic, especially given your Lenten reading and the fact that you're teaching all day! I'm sure the number of books I read will drop if I ever become gainfully employed.

  8. Dear Bookfool,

Well, aside from amazement at your reading list, I want to let you know that your comments as a reviewer had impact. The paperback version of the Procrastination Equation (released today, just in time for last Christmas) now has an applied addition to it, as you recommended. Appreciate your thoughtfulness, in both meanings of that term.

    Happy New Year!

    Piers

  9. I am jealous of your ability to review everything... I always start out good and then fizzle...

  10. Piers,

Oh, my gosh! That is truly exciting news!! Thanks for sharing that with me. My husband will probably not thank you when I rush out to buy a copy of the new, improved version (unless it means I get more accomplished . . . which seems a likely result). Congratulations on the paperback release of your book. Hope you sell a million!

    Kelly,

A lot of those are combined mini-reviews, since I spent a good portion of 2011 trying to spend less time on the computer, but thanks! I do try to at least say a little about everything, if only for the sake of having a record to look back on. I don't read as many books as you do, though!

  11. No really, I stand by what I said!
