DeleteI'm amazed you can get them to look your way at all. As soon as I pull out my camera or phone our dog looks the other way.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it can be a job-and-a-half trying to get a pet to pose, that's for sure. I try to just keep the camera handy so that when they do something cute I don't have to go too far. All of them are so active!

Thanks, Carrie. Yep, Izzy was wiped out. Peyton is funny. Eldest had just removed his feet from her back. She was his foot rest. In the typical doggy fashion, she was fine with having feet flung across her back.

ReplyDeleteIt's tricky getting a second kitty. Ours are about 6 months apart in age and Fiona was none too pleased when the little usurper arrived, but they do get along pretty well (most of the time). Our previous cats were 2 years apart and they sort of hated each other. That sucked. Best to get siblings, if you can. I planned to, but Fiona just happened to capture my heart and then Isabel was a surprise. We're lucky they do get along with each other!

ReplyDeleteLOL That's a pretty accurate assessment of the look. :) Fiona's a good egg, but sometimes I think she'd like me to just leave her alone, thankyouverymuch. Cameras don't thrill her.
DeleteThat's such a sweet picture of Fiona! I love how pets have such different personalities (and reactions to the camera being turned on them). Two of my pets love it and the other hates it (that would be Tiger, Fiona's look-alike).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alyce! It is funny how different their reactions are, isn't it? Isabel has her moments when she wants me to leave her alone, but for the most part she's just curious about the camera. It doesn't bother her a bit. Fiona would prefer that I never got out the camera. She tolerates me, though.

DeleteI'm always so impressed by your ability to capture the animals--maybe you don't get as close as I try to. Lexi HATES to be photographed--I've been trying to get pictures of her and Elle together but she just won't have it. Ha! Oh Izzy--I'd love to bring her home with me. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trish. It varies. I usually do get in pretty close, though. The photo of Izzy was taken from about 2 or 3 feet, max. I put the camera on the carpet for that one. I get down on my belly a lot -- it's much like photographing small children, really. They move a lot and they don't always cooperate, so you have to be quick. I've found Fiona does better in natural light. If I start using flash too often, she gets irritated by the infrared light that measures distance (I usually do use automatic mode because they move so quickly). Darn about Lexi. They're so smart; if pets don't like a camera, they can be terribly stubborn.
