Fiona Friday - The queen of the laundry pile

I think I've mentioned the fact that Isabel is a burrower, in the past. A pile of laundry is always a temptation but anything at all that looks like it can be tunneled into is fair game, including plastic bags (have to be careful what I leave lying about). On this particular occasion, she and Fiona were playing chase when she dived into a pile of fresh laundry I'd just placed on the bed.

You can see at upper left that her head was actually covered. She only had a little wedge of air space, so I pulled the sweater up over her face. You can't do that with just any old feline without potentially getting slashed but Isabel doesn't swipe with claws unless she's really, really nervous. This picture makes me smile every time I look at it.

    1. Thanks! I thought so, too, but you know I'm biased. :)

  2. Lol! I love it. My cat loves bags so if she does start playing with one I have to keep an eye on her. That last picture is perfect! She looks Egyptian. Which is fitting I think.

    1. Yes, same here. Bags are more than a little scary so I keep an eye on Isabel if she's rustling around in one. Ha! That was exactly what I thought! She looks like an Egyptian - a queen because of the way she's so comfortable in her royal robes. It was so funny the way she let me peel back that sweater from her face, no big deal.

  3. aw, she is so cute!! I made Mackie a bed in a clothes basket because he kept sleeping on the laundry as a puppy. He loves that bed. He still sleeps in it now even though he doesn't fit quite as well! lol

    1. Thanks! Oh, how sweet. I'll bet Mackie's clothes basket is cozy, even if he sticks out a bit.
