Pass it on. Bellezza doesn't mind. I'm not sure about Paula, from whom Bellezza stole the meme.
Finished: While I Live and Angels of a Lower Flight.
Reviews: Forthcoming
Also forthcoming: Eldest son. So, it may be a little quiet for a couple of days.
Putting off: Harry Potter. Kiddo slammed his door when I said I'd like to wait till the crowd thins. Sigh. I hate crowds.
Off to clean the pit. Or, in British: This place is a tip. Pit. Tip. Funny.
Bookfool, who'd rather read
That's a fun meme, Bookfool. I may have to take a stab at it.
ReplyDeleteThe crowds for Harry Potter should be okay by now. It opened on Tuesday, didn't it? I can't stand crowded theaters especially.
It's pretty fun. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, Kookie, I don't know. We have a population of about 50,000 and we have to drive over to Clinton, which has really small theaters - so if it's a popular movie and people are coming from two cities, it can get kind of crowded. I'm assuming it will stay busy for a time, but that's just me. Kiddo watched Emergency! for a while (apparently, I've mentioned Johnny and Roy recently, hmmm) and then crashed. And, we've got another whopping big storm coming. So, it wasn't the right day, anyway. :)
Love your answer to Work? I'm feeling the same way, lol...
ReplyDeleteI went and saw Harry Potter today and I must say it was excellent! Can't wait for the book! I'll be so sad when it's all over :(
I'm getting so laid back, I may be able to wait for it to come out on video. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteFun meme. I may do it as well.
Well, at least you get paid for what work you do. I do some, but none of it pays a cent.
ReplyDeleteI'll betcha J.K. comes up with another hoopty series, unless she's just too happy hiding in her castle.
Framed,
ReplyDeleteI do that all the time. Kiddo is really insistent about Harry Potter, though. So, I'll probably go. I hope you do the meme. I'm enjoying reading it on other blogs.
I'm amused at your clever word plays, such as love:knot. I'm also intrigued how several people who have done this, including us, write confidence as the wish item; fears have most often come across as regret, defeat (like yours) or loss (like mine). I guess we're not afraid of monsters under the bed anymore, but have graduated to grown up fears which are much more difficult to solve.
ReplyDeleteI went to the 12:30 matinee of H. Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. It wasn't crowded at all, so maybe a matinee would work for you. I do anything to avoid crowds!
Thanks for putting down your responses to this meme; I loved reading them.
I say you demand a raise Nancy! ;)
ReplyDeleteTwice nothing is still nothing, as they say. I just need a "real" job, Chris. :)
ReplyDeleteBellezza,
ReplyDeleteAs I was writing up my answers, I thought, "It's really difficult to come up with one word for fears" and it occurred to me that I'm the keeper of my own fears, my worst enemy. The one thing I don't want is to end up feeling like I've let them defeat me. So, that was that. Yes, I think that it's a very grown-up point of view to say that your fear isn't something specific like spiders or snakes, but not having the courage to do what your heart desires or allowing yourself to keep doing things that you know you'll only regret.
In other words, the whole thing was really quite a thought-provoking exercise, wasn't it?
Kiddo is still begging to go to Harry, but we're expecting more storms. So, I think he may be disappointed. We'll see. We're keeping an eye on those dark clouds. :)
