Fiona Friday - Where's Izzy?

Isabel really thought she'd found a nice, quiet place to hide for a nap. She wasn't banking on the human finding her and saying, "Peek-a-boo!" But, she's a good sport and stuck her little head out to say "hello".

Reminder: I am going on a blogging break for about a week. Because I moderate comments and plan to avoid the computer as much as possible, it may take a day or two for your comment to show up. But, I will approve comments and reply, eventually.

I leave you with a quote from Peace is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh:

Everything we do is an act of poetry or a painting if we do it with mindfulness. Growing lettuce is poetry. Walking to the supermarket can be a painting.

Have a happy week!

    1. Well, it would have been. I have a tendency to pester the cats, just when they've found the perfect place. I actually got under the table for a bit and the light streaming through that tablecloth was just beautiful! So tranquil.

  5. Awww, cute pictures!

I love the quote, too. How interesting to think of the everyday things we do as something more extraordinary, which oftentimes they can be.

    Have a lovely break!

Isn't that a wonderful quote? I'm definitely going to have to read more by Thich Nhat Hanh. He does have a gift for making even everyday things like washing dishes or sitting at traffic lights sound like gifts.

      Thank you!

  6. We humans are SO mean! ;) I comfort myself by considering the bad nights of sleep I've had because of my cat when I'm interrupting her nap.

    1. LOL Yes, I know exactly what you mean. They tend to interrupt our sleep so . . . payback! Except, we're really just so crazy about them that we have to find them where they sleep to make sure they're okay and give them a tiny rub because they're so darn cute. There's just no getting around those 5 AM wake-up calls, though, is there?

    1. Thanks, Zibilee! She's really quite good at finding hiding places. Yesterday, she wrapped herself up in a bedspread after I stripped a bed to start the washing, the little furry nut. She's such fun.

Well . . . reading and singing, anyway. Probably there are at least two cats and two humans who would like me to shush. ;)

    1. Wendy,

I'm lucky I have such crazy-active felines. They really are extraordinarily entertaining (and pretty photogenic, too). Thanks! I'm book purging. It's a job-and-a-half but it's nice to step away from the computer, now and then. :)
