  2. Juliann,

Isn't it? I've seen this one on many blogs but it took me a while to get around to doing my own. :)

  3. Smoking was my yuk, too. I just can't breathe around cigarette smoke.

  4. On the plus side, cigarette smoke nicely stops up your sinuses if you have a cold. LOL I think it all comes of being a plant, you know? It takes me less than 5 minutes of exposure to acquire a 3-day migraine around smoke. That's been true since I was about 9 years old, which is also when my allergies seemed to hit. I wish smokers realized just how painful their smoke can be for some people.

  5. How cool! I haven't seen these before.

Unfortunately I'm a smoker and I too think it's gross. But there's hope on the horizon! I have 3 friends who quit with no problems with this new laser therapy thats relatively cheap, so I'm going to try that after I graduate. I've been told to "shut up" before because I've complained about smoke being a smoker :p You'd think with allergies, migraines, and asthma that I would have been smart enough to never start! You'll know when I've quit when I start whining on my blog :)

  6. Yay! I'm glad you got around to doing this. I agree with you on many choices. It was difficult for me to just pick one for each category.

Did you know my husband smokes? Well, actually, used to smoke. He quit 3 weeks ago!! He's taking a prescription drug that interacts with the nicotine receptors in his brain and he doesn't have the craving anymore. Whoohooo!

  7. Chris,

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that you're able to quit smoking (see Les's post, below; maybe that's an idea for you). Yep, I'd have pegged you as a non-smoker because of the migraines. It probably helped that I knew smoke was a trigger early on (I figured it out when I was around 9 or 10) - not everyone knows the causes of their migraines - and smoking friends never pushed me to try smoking. You know how hard it can be to fight peer pressure. :)

    Hi Les,

I had trouble choosing just one, at times, also. "My art" and "my treat" were rough, but in the end I chose the photos that appealed to me the most.

Congrats to your husband! Yes, I knew he was a smoker; I can't remember when or where, but you mentioned it at some point.

  8. Just put one of these widgets on my blog, then was pleased to see this post on yours! We have a few overlaps, by the way...

  9. Gentle Reader,

I enjoyed looking at yours to see what those "overlaps" you referred to were all about. :) Fun. Also, I've just added you to my links. Love your blog!

  10. Of course we have many similar pictures: in particular, the passport, books, and I almost chose that bedroom, beverage and bike ride. It was hard to select only one from those choices for me! I liked learning more about you. Plus, anyone who looks at running as a treat gets lots of kudos in my book.

  11. Bellezza,

It was really difficult choosing just one, at times. I don't remember seeing your Visual DNA but, yep, I'm not surprised we both had the books and passport. You've traveled more widely than I have, but I'm wishful. I'm not handling my husband's impending trip to Italy without me well at all.

Running is definitely a treat. I still haven't managed to get back to it since what we refer to as the "potassium fiasco" (in which Bookfool almost died from low potassium, due to running in the heat) but when I run or walk it's something I do for myself and I love it. Thanks. :)
