  1. The wind is really blowing here today and poor lil Esther is kept buzzing barking at the fallen down rubbish bins and the trash blowing through the yard. She's a mess.

    Petty kitties!

    1. I wonder if that's the same blustery front we got a couple days ago. We had 40 mph gusts and Isabel was going freaking nutso wanting to chase the blowing leaves. She completely wore herself out . Meanwhile, we had limbs coming down everywhere (our old oak trees make a mess).

      Thanks!

  2. I keep spare blinds in my storage closet for just this kind of "OMG moving stuff!" behavior. If I didn't live in a first floor apartment, I'd probably have the blinds raised a bit and spare myself having to replace them every few weeks or months.

    1. I have quite a few blinds that need to be replaced but our windows are strangely sized and we have to special order. Good thinking, keeping spares on-hand! I do raise the blinds a bit, but it's a bit late for some of them. :)

  3. Its funny to me how cats never seem to get bored staring out windows. Maybe they think the same thing about us staring at TVs or computer screens. Or books, for that matter. ;)

    1. Could be. I know my cats think I spend too much time at the computer. It's not unusual for them to try to lure me away, although if I'm here and it's nap time for Isabel, she's behind the screen -- you've got it, right in front of the window.

    1. She does look big in those photos, doesn't she? But, Isabel's just a tiny thing -- full-grown but only about 6 pounds, I'd say.

    2. That probably should have been a sad face. :( I don't do sad faces often; I seem to have a happy-face reflex. Hopefully, someday you'll be able to get a kitty or two!

    1. We have Carolina wrens living in that corner. And, of course the squirrels are everywhere, the leaves have been blowing, there are neighborhood cats wandering the yard. Could be anything, really!

    1. Yep, that's why I grabbed the camera. I love it when they're so captured by something going on elsewhere that I can snap away and they don't even notice, much less object.

  8. haha, Casey is like that! She has figured out how to get into a different window, so she gets more perspective than she did before. Actually, one day we were watching crows out a window Casey couldn't reach. Later in the day I was looking out the window while I was talking on the phone and Casey jumped off a table and landed on my head. I had to yell for Lorrie to come get her out of my hair... The person on the phone was laughing. Yep, it was fun! She thought she was missing something...

    1. Kelly,

That's hilarious! I think I can safely say I've never had a cat land in my hair!!! There is always a lot going on outside, so I can see why cats enjoy looking out windows. One thing that really sets Izzy off is little anole lizards climbing up the bricks. She tries to dig through the window to get to them. Notice how one paw is held out like she's waving, in that second pic? She sometimes will swipe at the air like she's trying to touch something. She does that in person, too. She'll pull up against the bed and reach a paw out to me. It's absolutely adorable. Sometimes she gets a little high five. LOL
