Fiona Friday

Miss Fi got a tunnel and a fishing pole. She looks a little rabid in this pic, but we were having a great time playing. The pink, yellow and blue things are little felt fishes that dangle from the end of her pole; she took the entire pole away from me and dragged it into the tunnel. Funny girl.

  1. That's a neat picture! She looks like she's the queen of the tunnel, ;-)

  3. Megan,

She's the queen of the entire household, to be honest. Today, Little Fi was acting a bit bored and restless, so we grabbed an inexpensive tunnel at Walmart and got the fishing pole at the dollar store. I think we've already had more than $8 worth of fun! :)

    Kathy,

She certainly did! It's always fun to see the determination on her little face.

  5. Thanks, Violet!

She's a doll. This is kind of an odd photo because she's got that crazed huntress look but she has a pretty little face. I'm just nuts about her. :)

  6. Love the pic, my cats are jealous of her tunnel, they said I need to get off my butt and go get them one.

  7. Amy,

We found some that have a soft lining on Amazon and still plan to order a couple, but Fi was bored so we just grabbed her a cheap one at Walmart while we were out. It was only about $7 (it's small, but so is the kitty) and definitely a good purchase. We had such fun and wore the poor kitty out. You should definitely get a tunnel or two for your gang! :)

  8. I'll have to check those out! My kitties (Oliver especially) are larger though so I'll have to find a big one!

  10. Amy,

Amazon has really terrific reviews -- people mention whether or not their fat cats fit inside the various tunnels. Our Fiona is still very small and the tunnel we bought is a narrow one, so we're planning to get her a bigger one that she'll be able to use later on. For now, she's having loads of fun with her tunnel. She seems to look for excuses to run through it and she's even slept in it a bit. Very cool!

    SuziQ,

Thanks! I just discovered that tunnels are great for kitty portraits. :)

  12. Serena,

LOL She does look kind of caught! She was having fun, though. We just finished doing a little fishing. I have to periodically play with her to wear her out or she gets a wee bit destructive (and attacks legs -- that's her way of saying, "Play with me, NOW!").
